This is a 99 Subaru STI Coupe from Orange Subaru. We built a Cosworth engine and a 6 Speed STI Transmission for it, along with a fair few adaptations, including modified manifolds and custom Haltech tuned ECU. When it left our shop it was making 300kw at the wheels and running very sweetly.

Hi Niazi – just thought I’d give you some updates on what I assume is the only dual-range FXT in Canada :) Car is running great – I have about 25,000 kms on the gearbox without any issues (there is a rattle at idle that goes away when I depress the clutch, so I assume it’s the release bearing….) It has a 3” lift & I stuffed 215/85R16 (30.5” dia) tires under it – with the bigger tires your lower 1.59 gear set might have been better than the 1.447, but this gearbox is such a huge improvement off-road so I can’t complain Hope all is well at your end – thanks again for all the help, everything worked out perfectly - Cheers!

Having bought a MY00 WRX (bugeye) without sufficient knowledge of the vehicle’s history and lack of maintenance routines that had been carried out on it over the years and several owners, I was in a sticky situation. Luckily, I stumbled across the details for All Drive Subaroo – the team here specialise in everything that is Subaru and could give me the ‘run down’ of what needed to happen with my car to get it back to its original (and much better) condition. Not only did they go well beyond my expectations in terms of customer service, they were able to provide me with several options and recommendations in terms of parts I should have installed, a new maintenance schedule, and even including advice on what I should be looking at improving next. My car had been clearly neglected for a considerable period of time, but now; the 2.5L Cosworth engine, combined with a VF43 turbo, turbo-back exhaust and other bits and pieces (brakes, suspension, intercooler etc), my car setup is nothing short of impressive. I had my WRX inspected here before I purchased it from a Subaru dealer. They managed to squeeze me in even though they had a busy schedule and found out a few things that I got the dealer to fix before the purchase. They couldn't have been more helpful and also said if the car was a lemon they wouldn't even charge for the inspection. This being my first car purchase in Australia I was worried about finding a garage to trust but now I have. A great bunch of guys and very helpful.
I recently had my Engine fail, and was looking for somewhere to build me a new engine. Upon looking around on the net, I found All Drive Subaroo, I saw they had engine packages available using Cosworth parts, a name that comes to mind when you think of motorsport. Great to find a mechanical workshop crew that really knows their stuff and really cares about their work. And they treat women with the same respect as men. I went to three workshops who told me I needed major engine work before I took my car to All Drive, on the recommendation of a friend, and they quickly found that all I needed was something they called a coil pack, which they had in stock and fitted while I waited. A year later the car is still going fine. I get all my services done there now, and I know I'm getting the right job at the right price.
I recently had a big end bearing on my Forester go. The guys at ADS priced the job over the phone which was significantly lower than my original quote. They were friendly and kept in regular contact. They fixed the car and came in almost exactly on the original estimate. I was very happy and would recommend to anyone.
I have known the ADS guys for a while now back when they started at Lugarno. They have looked after my car since I first went to them. Not only have they spent a lot of time on my car but the personal service I got before I became great friends with Niazi and the team there was amazing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to look at your Subaru.
Took my Liberty there for a 150000km service. After an initial chat I was told that a complete inspection of the car would be done prior to the service and if problems were detected these would be relayed to me prior to the works being carried out. (giving me the choice if I wanted these corrected). Problems were identified with my car and these were explained to me with a phone call Upon me giving approval for these to be fixed, they were corrected and the major 150000km service was completed in a professional manner. All the works done on my car were then explained to me upon pick up. For a complete service I would highly recommend the ADS crew. I am 100% happy with the end result and my vehicle will now be sent here for future services and any other Subaru owners I know I will recommend they drop in there for a chat for works or general services.
ADS did the engine in my STI, which is my baby. I’d like to say these guys are the most knowledgeable in the business. They diagnosed a problem that had baffled three other workshops, then fixed it-- from start to finish, first class work and service. ADS have also helped out with developing my turbo conversion Brumby. If you’ve got a Subaru, these are your guys.
Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for the help with getting my old Liberty back on the road. We got it together on the 10th of Feb, started it at 11pm on the 11th and then the next day did a road trip up the east coast to Brissy for two weeks. We did over 4,500 k's in the two weeks and the car ran better than ever with the best fuel economy I've ever had since owning the car! Cheers for your help and best wishes to you and your family. I'll recommend you if it comes up and I'll call if I need anything down the track. I'll send those extra bolts etc back to you as soon as I get back to Melbourne. Probably within a week.

Liberty STI 2009 EJ2.5 Cosworth Performance Upgrade engine We approached All drive subaroo because the engine had bottom end problem and turbo had seized up. Subaru were unable to give me what I wanted/needed. All drive Subaroo were kind and willing to help immediately as I didn't have another car and it was coming up to Christmas time and needed to act fast. The result was a fully rebuilt motor. The thing I liked was Niazi and his team gave me more the any other business and the fact that I now have a rebuilt performance cosworth street tuff engine / car with lots of extras. The overall experience was great. I was up to date and informed if any changes were required. I would definitely recommend Niazi and All Drive Subaroo to anyone needing quality work. Dear Niazi & Team, Subaru WRX 1999 EJ2.0 , 2.2 L Cosworth Upgrade Performance Engine I just wanted to shoot you a quick email with the biggest thanks for both you and your team for the building of my 2.2 Cosworth stroker Engine, the performance is mind blowing! Your advice and workmanship is second to none. With all the dramas of the timing belt pulley and consequent 2nd rebuild I can't brag enough to everyone about your professionalism and customer service. The end result is outstanding! Wishing now I had more money at the time to get more add-ons (high-lift cams, billet crank, oversized valves, inlet manifold etc!) all in good time!! Some advice please... Who in Melbourne metro area can you recommend to service the WRX? Out of curiosity do you have an idea of the power @ the wheels? I'll post on your FB page a rave report about how impressed and stoked I am to have chosen you to build my engine! Once again, thankyou sooo much!! Cheers, 6 Speed Sti gearbox upgrade Thought you might like to see my 5 speed box split...!!?!! Purchased a 6 Speed STI reconditioned transmission including tail shaft, shifter, rear differential conversion to suit 99 WRX. Next... New fat silicone inlet, FPR, injectors, polished V1-2 intake manifold, brakes, and maybe flex fuel with retune. The tuner said the torque curve was something he had never seen from an EJ... Had 166 awkw @ 4K 19psi then the silicone inlet began to collapse ? With just that changed he tips 250+ I'll keep you posted!!!

I had some major work done on my engine through All Drive Subaroo and the car is performing great! The work done when I lifted my hood looked like the car was brand new from the factory which was a bonus also! I drive some 50km to get work done on my car by these guys, and it is well worth the travel.

Problems were identified with my car (which I suspected was the case) and a range of efficient solutions were explained to me in an understandable way and in a calm, no-pressure manner. Hello ADS Team! Previous to finding All Drive, I used to get my car serviced at the local Subaru dealer. It was a perpetual disappointment. When I blew the bottom end, the Subaru garage quoted me 11k just to do the new bottom end engine. I went to see All drive and had a chat with Niazi He quoted me 9K for the engine but in the end after a load of discussions I had the 100k service which was overdue, new clutch while they had the engine out, new timing chain, two wheel bearings, (I went in and Niazi had the car on the hoist and let me listen with the stethoscope so I knew what they were saying was true), new radiator, all new tensioners, different piston rings (harder than original that don’t let so much oil through when decelerating at high revs). All in all I was rapt with their professionalism and integrity. My bill came out at less than 11k including all the extra works (I have missed out stuff like gear linkage bushes, wheel alignment and more). They offered me the box of all the old parts which I looked through and asked why some things and been changed which they duly explained with blown apart pictures of my engine to show where the parts had come from. It all made engineering sense. I continue to go there despite having to take a day off work to get my car serviced. (it’s a long way from home and the office so three hours travel there and three hour back on public transport is not time effective) They are a more mature crew than you get in the dealerships and their quality control is second to none. At the end of each service a senior tech who hasn’t worked on the car checks all the work that has been done. I am an engineer in the construction industry who designs control systems for mechanical plant in commercial buildings. In my early year I worked in a service station in the days when they provided a service not just petrol. I have built my own engines and been a pit crew to a drag racer. I would not recommend anyone lightly but I have found Niazi and the boys to be very professional and thorough. In my experience they have always let me know when stuff I haven’t asked for needed doing. I have sat in their office for many hours and seen how they interact with other customers, again there is always the phone call to explain what or why something needs to be done, but they leave it up to the customer to decide. Be aware my car was a mess after leaving it in the hands of the dealer for years and these guys check everything but they have never tried to sell me anything I didn’t really need. Hope this doesn’t sound too gushy but they are a good outfit and as long as I have this car I will continue to use them. I recently had my Engine fail, and was looking for somewhere to build me a new engine. Upon looking around on the net, I found All Drive Subaroo, I saw they had engine packages available using Cosworth parts, a name that comes to mind when you think of motorsport. I gave them a call and spoke to Niazi. He was nothing but helpful and transparent and got the ball rolling to get my car back on the road and I couldn’t be happier. I opted to get the Cosworth Street Tuff Engine in my Liberty GT and I can’t express how happy I am with it, the car feels better then when I bought it and I can only put that down to the team at All Drive Subaroo.

This is a two seater Gyrocopter with a Subaru EJ25 Remanufactured Engine converted with EJ22 Cylinder heads by Subaru Engine Australia, Eric is a well-known Gyrocopter builder from the centre NSW area.

We use Subaru diesel engines in many models as well, and we are so pleased with All Drive’s work that we plan to source all our diesel Subaru engines from them. We expect it will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship.
I recently had a big end bearing on my Forester go. The guys at ADS priced the job over the phone which was significantly lower than my original quote. They were friendly and kept in regular contact. They fixed the car and came in almost exactly on the original estimate. I was very happy and would recommend to anyone.
I have known the ADS guys for a while now back when they started at Lugarno. They have looked after my car since I first went to them. Not only have they spent a lot of time on my car but the personal service I got before I became great friends with Niazi and the team there was amazing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to look at your Subaru.
ADS did the engine in my STI, which is my baby. I’d like to say these guys are the most knowledgeable in the business. They diagnosed a problem that had baffled three other workshops, then fixed it-- from start to finish, first class work and service. ADS have also helped out with developing my turbo conversion Brumby. If you’ve got a Subaru, these are your guys.
Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for the help with getting my old Liberty back on the road. We got it together on the 10th of Feb, started it at 11pm on the 11th and then the next day did a road trip up the east coast to Brissy for two weeks. We did over 4,500 k's in the two weeks and the car ran better than ever with the best fuel economy I've ever had since owning the car! Cheers for your help and best wishes to you and your family. I'll recommend you if it comes up and I'll call if I need anything down the track. I'll send those extra bolts etc back to you as soon as I get back to Melbourne. Probably within a week.
Liberty STI 2009 EJ2.5 Cosworth Performance Upgrade engine We approached All drive subaroo because the engine had bottom end problem and turbo had seized up. Subaru were unable to give me what I wanted/needed. All drive Subaroo were kind and willing to help immediately as I didn't have another car and it was coming up to Christmas time and needed to act fast. The result was a fully rebuilt motor. The thing I liked was Niazi and his team gave me more the any other business and the fact that I now have a rebuilt performance cosworth street tuff engine / car with lots of extras. The overall experience was great. I was up to date and informed if any changes were required. I would definitely recommend Niazi and All Drive Subaroo to anyone needing quality work. Dear Niazi & Team, Subaru WRX 1999 EJ2.0 , 2.2 L Cosworth Upgrade Performance Engine I just wanted to shoot you a quick email with the biggest thanks for both you and your team for the building of my 2.2 Cosworth stroker Engine, the performance is mind blowing! Your advice and workmanship is second to none. With all the dramas of the timing belt pulley and consequent 2nd rebuild I can't brag enough to everyone about your professionalism and customer service. The end result is outstanding! Wishing now I had more money at the time to get more add-ons (high-lift cams, billet crank, oversized valves, inlet manifold etc!) all in good time!! Some advice please... Who in Melbourne metro area can you recommend to service the WRX? Out of curiosity do you have an idea of the power @ the wheels? I'll post on your FB page a rave report about how impressed and stoked I am to have chosen you to build my engine! Once again, thankyou sooo much!! Cheers, 6 Speed Sti gearbox upgrade Thought you might like to see my 5 speed box split...!!?!! Purchased a 6 Speed STI reconditioned transmission including tail shaft, shifter, rear differential conversion to suit 99 WRX. Next... New fat silicone inlet, FPR, injectors, polished V1-2 intake manifold, brakes, and maybe flex fuel with retune. The tuner said the torque curve was something he had never seen from an EJ... Had 166 awkw @ 4K 19psi then the silicone inlet began to collapse ? With just that changed he tips 250+ I'll keep you posted!!!

Hello ADS Team! Previous to finding All Drive, I used to get my car serviced at the local Subaru dealer. It was a perpetual disappointment. When I blew the bottom end, the Subaru garage quoted me 11k just to do the new bottom end engine. I went to see All drive and had a chat with Niazi He quoted me 9K for the engine but in the end after a load of discussions I had the 100k service which was overdue, new clutch while they had the engine out, new timing chain, two wheel bearings, (I went in and Niazi had the car on the hoist and let me listen with the stethoscope so I knew what they were saying was true), new radiator, all new tensioners, different piston rings (harder than original that don’t let so much oil through when decelerating at high revs). All in all I was rapt with their professionalism and integrity. My bill came out at less than 11k including all the extra works (I have missed out stuff like gear linkage bushes, wheel alignment and more). They offered me the box of all the old parts which I looked through and asked why some things and been changed which they duly explained with blown apart pictures of my engine to show where the parts had come from. It all made engineering sense. I continue to go there despite having to take a day off work to get my car serviced. (it’s a long way from home and the office so three hours travel there and three hour back on public transport is not time effective) They are a more mature crew than you get in the dealerships and their quality control is second to none. At the end of each service a senior tech who hasn’t worked on the car checks all the work that has been done. I am an engineer in the construction industry who designs control systems for mechanical plant in commercial buildings. In my early year I worked in a service station in the days when they provided a service not just petrol. I have built my own engines and been a pit crew to a drag racer. I would not recommend anyone lightly but I have found Niazi and the boys to be very professional and thorough. In my experience they have always let me know when stuff I haven’t asked for needed doing. I have sat in their office for many hours and seen how they interact with other customers, again there is always the phone call to explain what or why something needs to be done, but they leave it up to the customer to decide. Be aware my car was a mess after leaving it in the hands of the dealer for years and these guys check everything but they have never tried to sell me anything I didn’t really need. Hope this doesn’t sound too gushy but they are a good outfit and as long as I have this car I will continue to use them. Hi Niazi – just thought I’d give you some updates on what I assume is the only dual-range FXT in Canada :) Car is running great – I have about 25,000 kms on the gearbox without any issues (there is a rattle at idle that goes away when I depress the clutch, so I assume it’s the release bearing….) It has a 3” lift & I stuffed 215/85R16 (30.5” dia) tires under it – with the bigger tires your lower 1.59 gear set might have been better than the 1.447, but this gearbox is such a huge improvement off-road so I can’t complain Hope all is well at your end – thanks again for all the help, everything worked out perfectly - Cheers!
